Thomas F Macmanus was the naval architect involved in the professional superyacht plans for ALABAMA. Thomas F Macmanus is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. In 1926 she was actually launched with celebration in Pensacola Fl and following sea trials and finishing touches was afterwards handed over to the owner who commissioned her. Pensacola Shipbuilding completed their new build sailing yacht in the United States. A moderate feeling is achieved with a total beam (width) of 6.58 m / 21.6 feet. With a 3.35m (11ft) draught (maximum depth) she is deep. The material wooden was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created from wood.
