GALMA Wally Yachts | From EUR€ 105,000 /wk

Sailing yacht is GALMA a 29-meter (94-foot) Wally sloop designed by German Frers uniquely combining the performance of a maxi racer with the characteristics of an ocean cruiser as requested by the owner who is an experienced yachtsman.

The construction technology of the Wally 94.2 uses carbon pre-preg, Nomex core above the waterline and high density PVC core below the waterline, with structural reinforcements for the chainplates, keel attachment area and steering gear, following the owner’s brief to have a family yacht that can be easily and safely sailed also in a Force 10 in the North Atlantic.

The displacement of yacht GALMA (ex KIM, Angel’s Share, Y3K) is 42.5 tons (93,696 lbs) obtained through a weight saving of many components of the yacht, such as the high modulus carbon spars, interior joinery, structural and non-structural bulkheads.

yacht KIM performs all-round and easily reaches 15 knots in 10 ten knots of true wind speed.

Sailing yacht KIM features the genoa furler for the cruising mode, and titanium stanchions and lifeline to reduce the displacement.

The deck of yacht KIM (ex Angel’s Share, Y3K) includes two social cockpits: the central one with dining table and the aft one, the “Terrace on the sea”. In between there are the twin helm and navigation stations.
The sleek profile of the Wally 94.2: the slim coach roof perfectly integrated in the hull and deck lines.
The aft cockpit “Terrace on the sea” of yacht KIM is raised in order to have the tender garage underneath.

The aft cockpit “Terrace on the sea” features a large sunbathing pad.

Below deck, yacht KIM is warm and cosy. The interior design combines carbon fiber, cherry wood with the grain running horizontally, white lacquered ceilings and sides, beige upholstery and beige carpets in the cabins.

The salon features the dining table to portside, the sofa with coffee table to starboard, the navigation station right off the companionway to starboard and the galley to port.

The entertainment systems onboard yacht KIM includes a 30” plasma screen in the salon.

"What I try to achieve when designing any kind of boat is to do something which is fast and good looking. That is to say, the whole thing is well proportioned and has grace regardless of the size and type. A boat that is responsive, gracious and has character." - German Frers
