Turquoise Yacht Review

With exterior by Dubois Yacht and interior by H2 Design, the 55m motor yacht Turquoise offers luxurious accommodation for 12 guests.

Superyacht Turquoise

Stylish Turquoise has clean, uncluttered lines for such a large superstructure. She has a metallic charcoal alumni wrap and is a most charming superyacht. At 55m (182ft) long Turquoise is the perfect vessel for scuba diving excursions, exploration activities and cruises smoothly wherever her final destination is. The present owner transformed this superyacht into a safe, desirable and beautiful yacht stripping everything back to install modern styling and an awesome interior. Completed in 2014 Turquoise is sophisticated, elegant and beautiful.

The main saloon boasts crisp white panelling, dramatic furnishings as well as sleek furniture. Seating in this part of the yacht is symmetrical forming a mirror image which is intimate and very impressive. A spectacular bar is now where storage space used to be so guests can make use of this laid-back area day or night. The upholstered furniture in the saloon is made from suede and velvet which gives off a most regal look. With a grey and deep blue colour scheme, you can relax in what is a home-from-home feel. Dark Macassar has been used to brighten the space which works very well no matter what time of day or night it is.

This saloon has a touch of Art Deco about it which in turn offers a truly amazing atmosphere. It’s also a good hint of what Turquoise has in store in other parts of the yacht.

The ultimate in dining

With dedicated dining areas on the three communal decks, there’s a choice of formal or informal dining. Forward of the master saloon is the formal dining room. Stunning cutlery, crockery and glassware differ in all of the dining areas allowing guests to select which place they prefer while on board.

Smart black chairs with a matching table are situated on the main deck in elaborate surroundings. There’s an expressionist painting hanging here providing an interesting backdrop as well as a talking point. This particular spot is very popular with families who can enjoy mouth-watering cuisine any time of the day.

Beautiful sleeping quarters

The master cabin which stretches the full width of the beam is huge. It has a double shower and large bath tub in a marble en suite, all tastefully decorated and quite ornate. Chinese blinds can be pulled down to diffuse the natural light while the artworks chosen by HS Yacht Design make a wonderful focal point. There’s an air of tranquillity and calm about the master cabin which allows guests to totally relax while enjoying pure luxury.

Shagreen walls match the colour found in the main saloon, soothing and spectacular. A study is also part of the master cabin for guests to keep in touch with business colleagues while on vacation.

There’s also a VIP cabin aft of the master suite. With its good size en suite, high gloss walls, paintings and comfortable bed, this cabin has a personality all of its own. Decorated in fresh white and royal purple, you really will feel like a king or queen at sea. The VIP cabin is also very quiet so guests can enjoy a good night’s sleep during their voyage.

The rest of the state rooms all have en suite bathrooms, a shower along with a bath tub. Everyone likes to have a good, long soak in a bath tub especially after a day in the sun. These lower deck cabins comprise a single twin, a convertible and three doubles. Decorated in cream and darker colours they also have large windows so you have great views all day long.

Innovatively designed

Turquoise has been innovatively designed with fixtures being kept to a minimum to make the most of the space available. Visually spectacular, the versatile sky lounge on the bridge deck is the ideal place for yacht charterers to chill out in. The C-shaped sofa provides comfortable seating where you can sip on a cocktail around a table on the starboard side. The lounge is a more informal space to the main saloon but none the less, impressive.

Dark wood has been used for the coffee and cocktail tables giving the sky lounge a clean, uncluttered appearance. With its large windows guests can look over the water, see coastal towns and splendid bays. The grand piano is a self-playing instrument that, although in the background, plays soft music which can be enjoyed by everyone on board.

Living the outdoor life

Although you’re on board a luxury superyacht, you can enjoy living the outdoor life. Have a drink at one of the bars, enjoy a barbecue or al fresco dining. There’s nothing quite like a romantic meal under the stars with a loved one. Conversely during the day, stretch out in the sun, read a favourite novel or just relax. The beach club which is encased in the solid bulwarks provides an even more private setting and has great dining options too.

How about watching a movie outdoors? The Nikki Beach style outdoor cinema is located on the main deck aft and is a fantastic place to unwind after a busy day. The screen drops down in front of a day bed which has fixtures to hold popcorn for instance. Now that is yacht charter innovation at its very best! Thin white, crisp curtains can be fixed either side of the day bed to protect guests from breezes which may blow in from the ocean.

No superyacht charter vacation would be complete without water toys and towables. Turquoise offers many toys and tenders to keep guests entertained. There are jet skis, Seabobs and wake boards not to mention scuba and diving equipment. With a protected sea pool and trampoline, an inflatable slide can be set up quite easily, children just love this!

With everything and more charterers could ask for, Turquoise is an exceptional superyacht. She is well-equipped and has a wonderful easy-style layout. For the dedicated crew and captain, nothing is too much trouble when it comes to guests’ comfort. They are there for you throughout the voyage.
