Bahamas Yacht Charter Itinerary

Day 1: In the morning make your way to your Bahamas yacht charter in Haven Marina to meet the crew of the your yacht 12 noon. After getting settled on board you will set sail across the Yellow Banks of the Exuma chain. This will be a 35 mile leisurely sail across the shallow calm waters to the first island of the Exumas, Highbourne Cay. Here your yacht will anchor in a beautiful safe harbor where you can swim, kayak, beach comb or snorkel. For those needing a walk, a trip to the marina via the tender will allow you to explore this cozy turquoise harbor. Cocktails and dinner will be served on board.

Day 2: This day will begin with a leisurely breakfast. The crew will then lead a trip further up the chain stopping at Allen’s Cay where the Bahamian Iguanas have made their home after a strong comeback from near extinction. Next we will set sail to Shroud Cay, a 12 mile sail anchoring at the northern end of the Exuma Land and Sea Park. This pristine national park encompasses 30 miles of the Central Exumas’ numerous keys and islands a fantastic place on your Bahamas Yacht charter.

Day 3: Further exploration of the park by sail will include a stop at a place called the Rocky Dundas where we will find easy snorkeling access caves of ancient stalactites and stalagmites contained in a natural cathedral ceiling. The anchorage for the night will be at Compass Cay.

Day 4: A 10 mile sail will begin the day with the destination of Staniel Cay. This picturesque little settlement is home to the Staniel Cay Yacht Club and the Thunder Ball Grotto, a spectacular snorkeling spot where the James Bond movie, Thunder Ball was filmed. Staniel Cay offers several quaint restaurants and entertainment ashore.

Day 5: Today you will sail from Staniel Cay to the little village of Little Farmers Cay, here you will visit the historical Terry Baine's Cabin, and also take advantage of the beautiful views of the Exuma sound or Galliot Cay and the sand bars that stretch for miles on the Great Bahama Bank.

Day 6: Today you will head to Sampson Cay and explore the Pipe Creek area. This place is ideal for waterskiing and snorkeling and another fun fill day in the water.

Day 7 We begin to head north on the Bahama Banks skirting sandbars and skimming along the clear azure waters. Finding safe harbor at Norman’s Cay, home of McDuff’s cottages, restaurant and resort located on a beautiful leeward white sand beach.

Day 8: A nice relaxing Breakfast in Normans Cay enjoying your last refreshing dip in the ocean before packing up and disembarking your Bahamas yacht charter at around 1.30pm for your flight back to Nassau.
